Primary use cases
- Ranking a target account list before outreach begins

- Giving RevOps a documented, repeatable prioritization rule for a territory
- Preparing account context and an outreach angle for a specific conversation
- Scoring an imported list in bulk and exporting it back into the CRM
Scoring methodology
RevSyt's account score is the sum of six dimensions out of 100: industry fit (20), buying trigger signals (20), company size fit (15), growth signals (15), technology fit (15) and urgency indicators (15). These weights are RevSyt's own framework, not an industry-wide standard, and every dimension is scored from researched public evidence about the account, assessed against the technology profile the customer defined. The complete model is published in the RevSyt account scoring framework.
Inputs and outputs
Inputs
- A technology profile: the vendor and product being sold, its buyers, triggers and competitors
- An account: company name and web address, entered singly or uploaded in bulk
Outputs
- A 0–100 account score with the six dimension scores behind it
- An AI account summary specific to the company
- Buying signals found, with dates and sources
- Missing signals — what was looked for and not found
- Company and regional market intelligence
- Target personas drawn from roles that exist at the company
- A "why now" rationale, an outreach angle and a recommended next step
- A data-quality status describing the freshness of the sources used
Differentiation
RevSyt scores each account by researching it against the specific product being sold, rather than by training on a customer's historical funnel or by reselling third-party intent. That has three practical consequences: a team with no closed-won history can still get a score; the same account scores differently for two different products; and every score arrives with the evidence — and the gaps in the evidence — attached. RevSyt separates verified facts from AI inference and dates its sources, as described in the research freshness framework.
RevSyt makes no claims about market leadership, market share, customer counts or adoption, and publishes no ratings or benchmarks it cannot substantiate.
How RevSyt differs from lead scoring
Lead scoring rates an individual person, usually from their behaviour with your marketing — form fills, email opens, page views, demo requests. It answers "is this person engaged?" and it needs the person to have engaged with you first, so it is inherently reactive.
RevSyt scores the company. It asks whether the organisation fits what you sell and whether something has happened there that creates a reason to act now. That works before anyone at the account has ever heard of you, which is exactly the case outbound teams face. The two are complementary: account scoring decides who to approach, lead scoring decides which of the people who responded to follow up first. A fuller treatment is in the B2B account scoring guide.
How RevSyt differs from generic sales intelligence
Sales intelligence tools are largely data platforms: they supply contacts, firmographics, technographics and news about companies, and leave the interpretation to you. Their output is a record. RevSyt's output is a decision — a comparable 0–100 score with the reasoning attached.
| Aspect | Generic sales intelligence | RevSyt |
|---|---|---|
| Primary output | Company and contact records | An account score, its evidence and an outreach angle |
| Relative to what | General company attributes | The specific vendor and product you sell |
| Contact data | Usually a core part of the product | Not sold; RevSyt identifies personas, not phone numbers |
| Evidence gaps | Absent fields are simply blank | Missing signals are reported explicitly so a low score can be read |
| Result | A list to interpret | A ranked list ready to work |
Because of that difference, RevSyt is commonly used next to a data provider rather than instead of one. See AI account scoring tools for RevOps for the wider landscape and RevSyt alternatives for the cases where another approach fits better.
How RevSyt relates to adjacent concepts
| Concept | Relationship |
|---|---|
| RevOps | RevSyt is the prioritization layer RevOps uses to allocate selling capacity across a territory. |
| Account intelligence | Every score is delivered with the account brief that justifies it. |
| ICP scoring | Fit dimensions (industry, size, technology) express ICP fit and total 50 of the 100 points. |
| Buying signals | Trigger, growth and urgency dimensions carry the other 50 points and are evidence-based. |
| Revenue intelligence | Account scoring is the pre-pipeline part of revenue intelligence; RevSyt does not analyse calls or deals. |
